Easiest, breeziest eyeshadow to apply AND blend! I want every color after trying the Lait Au Café one first! Such a pretty, perfect neutral shade to blend into the crease or to use as a backdrop for a more fun, shimmery or duo chrome look on top. An instant favorite, I love this brand down!

I got this in the mail and I wanted to give it a try and love it. It does have a nice feel on the finger and went on the eyelid fairly smooth feeling in the blending was OK. But maybe an hour later my eyelids were super creased.  I wanted this to be a Quick reply and go type product, but it’s a no for me because of the creasing and then not being able to re-blend. I didn’t want to have to use a primer before. 

Where do these reviews come from? This product sucks. I’ve tried multiple times and it does absolutely nothing. I followed directions on how to use this eyeshadow and still get nothing. Save your hard earned money.

This product is really solid and clearly formulated with intention. It’s a velvety soft eyeshadow, and I’ve found that this shade in particular is far more complex than ‘brown’ and really nice for my particular features. It looks fantastic with green eyes and me being so pale and red headed, it doesn’t look too harsh or warm in natural light. Its buildable and I think this is what trips people up the most, this shadow isn’t going to give the most pigment right out of the gate but that makes it customizable so if you’re looking for a more natural look you can opt for a veil of shadow instead of intense pigment (which is definitely obtainable with this product). I’m sweaty and oily and my eyelids eat eyeshadow and this lasted beautifully. I am NOT someone who buys individual eyeshadows usually but this color was recommended for someone with green eyes by a creator I trust and I’m so glad I listened

Insanely overpriced product, basically paying the packaging. The color is super nice, the texture, ok sure innovation or wtv. Application ok cool, im good with my fingers. But the problem with this is that is so balmy and soft, the development was done on the package and not the product, it last 5 minutes, if your lucky, even if you prep or set. I wanted to like it but its a hard pass. Overrated and overpriced.

Even though I have been watching Violette’s videos for some time, it took me a beat to figure out this product. I really enjoy it. She’s a real artist, make up and otherwise. Mine lasted most of the day without priming. Here’s what I figured out: - I don’t use a brush! For better product placement and smoother application, use your fingers on this slightly bouncy powder situation. You can literally just smear this on your lids! - this isn’t a highly pigmented shadow that you need to blend to diffuse, it’s a delicate wash of colour that is SUPER finely milled. A nuanced whisper, je ne sais quoi, it’s all of THAT. Undetectable but enhanced. - Great for travel! No tools or perfect lighting required. I find the packaging so pretty at this price point! Like a jewel in my makeup bag.

It’s a good product. Nice color and bendable without disappearing. But it is too pricey. And I don’t care for the packaging. Kind of cheap and I really dislike the odd shape. It can’t be stacked next to other makeup.

Love the idea of this eyeshadow, but like a lot of her products, the idea is better than the execution. Maybe Sephora needs to invest more dollars into her ideas to get the products where they need to be. I don’t like the packaging either- many of the products feel cheap. This eyeshadow should be in a pot, as a cream to powder, or come with a little spatula to apply. Even finger gets minimal pay off. Live the colour stories and ideas; but please; let the brush pick up the product. The cardboard box it comes in feels nicer than this cheap blue plastic. I expected more from Violette.

I was so excited about this eyeshadow, but it was a major letdown. I have tried so many different ways to get this to work and every attempt is patchy, drying and the color does not translate. This is one of the weirdest formulas - does not work with any brush, finger or even a blender. Same thing with the brand’s blush- I won’t be buying anything else from Violette_FR ever again.

Not to be dramatic, but this the WORST eyeshadow I’ve ever tried. I completely fell for the hype and I wish I had not. I got the shade lait au cafe (which is advertised as a milky beige brown) and it comes out so orange and warm on my fair rosy/neutral skin. The formula is also very odd. The application is patchy and very hard to blend with both a finger and a brush. Skip!
