For brown girls, I recommend you pair this with a deep brown lip liner to really make the color pop. This is my everyday lip color, it's a really pretty color and I've received many compliments. The formula is not drying however it does not last long and you will need to constantly reapply it.

I really wanted to love this brand
Violette has been such a hit or miss for me. I fell in love with the marketing, the colors and the whole brand story, so I really wanted the products to work. Unfortunately, after trying six of them, I think I finally have to admit this brand just isn’t for me.
This formula feels gloppy, applies unevenly and ends up looking blotchy on my lips. It also makes my lips tingle, and the fragrance across the products is just not pleasant to me. I’ve genuinely tried to make Violette work, but three out of four times I’ve been disappointed. Beautiful brand and beautiful color concepts, but the formulas just don’t work for me.

If you like mattes, give it a try
Beautiful color! The texture is a smooth mousse-like consistency. In testing, it stained pretty well, and color remained on my lips even after showering. Downside would be how dry it feels on the lips after the initial 5 minutes or so, and like with many mattes, you need a mirror to be sure you're applying it evenly. Also, shade range is limited, and it's pricey compared to other longer-lasting lip colors and stains.
