Less Product, Poor Performance, BIG disappointment
I have been a loyal fan of this powder for many years. However, the formula change has been a dealbreaker.
First, it was wasteful that I had to return an online order of the new compact to Sephora then inconvenient to go to MAC store to find my new color. However, I am fortunate that I was able to color match (from NW18 to NC10).
My biggest issue is that this is no longer full coverage nor lasting. I have to use a lot more product and it wears off faster through the day, requiring more reapplication than before. To add insult to injury, the previous formula was 15g of product and the new formula is 12g of product for the same price!

New formula is terrible. Extremely patchy, smudged annd transfers everywhere, and will completely wipe off and streak with any contact with regular sweat or water. MAC also got rid of my shade so the closest new one makes me look ashy. I never had these issues with the old Mac powder foundation, which was truly my holy grail. I am extremely disappointed and will never repurchase.

Color match wrong and not long lasting
I bought this because I’ve been a loyal studio fix fan since high school, I would buy multiple at a time because I always ran out right before I needed it most. I thought I had finally worked through my stash of discontinued ones so I went with the recommended shade match for my old color. I ended up finding one more of my discontinued ones before I recieved the new formula so I decided to compare. Based on color alone they were very different and not a comparable match. The new formula also not picking up as well as the old and when I placed them next to each other on my hand the new formula would wipe away with one touch whereas the old formula I would have to wipe it multiple times for it to wipe away. Overall bad shade match and did not last with the wipe test. I unfortunately missed my return window so that’s 40$ down the drain and I will have to find a new powder foundation.

Can't trust the shade stays the same
I actually used to love this make up. It lasts forever and I finally found a color that matched me perfectly which is near impossible as a woman of color...or so I thought. I bought it again,but what was labeled the same color I got last time had a completely different undertone. Sadly, because it lasts so long, I'm way past the 30day return policy. I'm totally bummed. The new one is far too neutral which looks ashy on my skin with golden undertones. The original one blended seamlessly into my skin. What a waste of 50$ Pic attached comparing my first order with the new one. Guess it's back to the drawing board to finding my perfect color.

Total shade update fail
It was not clear to me at all that this product has changed as much as it has. I’ve been wearing MAC Studio Fix NC25 powder since 2009, so without a second glance I picked up a new one only to discover when I went to use it that it’s a completely different shade and finish now. I don’t understand why they even changed it, and why they didn’t just market this as a new product. I’m really disappointed I wasted my money it.
