I am unsure the light setting in Sephora helps or not they match me for this color, and I receive the mac it seems a bit darker. Like casket ready dark and I do not like it at all! I want to look alive and well and pretty if I can.

I came here after Estee Lauder changed their double wear foundation to something terrible. After using Estée Lauder for 15+ years I am trialing MAC. This foundation is similar to the old Estée Lauder Double Wear but feels a bit different. It isn't as thick as the older Double Wear but still a great alternative. It builds well and blends nicely. It leaves your face feeling soft and not oily. It doesn't last as long as the double wear personally but I still do like this as a close comparison. In the end I would recommend

I used this with the old formulation and it was great. Whatever is in the new one caused me to breakout on my cheeks and chin for months. I still have acne scars from it. I underwent chemical peels and facials for many months only to find out this foundation was the problem. I switched to Haus labs and my acne disappeared.

For those who are looking for a replacement for the Estee Lauder foundation, this is a great alternative. But you should know, that it’s less matte and has a bit glowy effect. For me, it was even better - I got tired of the matte look already. It blends easily (but you have to work fast) and holds up all day, that’s why I loved this foundation. My skin type is combo.

It’s ok. Just ok.

I had to switch foundations after my longtime go-to changed formulas. This one looks nice—goes on nicely over my spf moisturizer and primer. Decent coverage. I set it with setting powder. I have very oily skin and I don’t see that this is especially good for that. I blot many times a day. By hour 8 or so I can see it coming off on and around my nose. I don’t see any oxidizing which seemed like a frequent complaint. Where it really sucks is a drop of water = foundation gone. Literally. Rain drop— now you have a bare spot. Forget about sweat—it just runs right off. It’s definitely not my summer foundation, that’s for sure.
