I’m a Make Up For Ever diehard, but found this incredibly hard to work with as a pro artist - and I am known for my sharp liner looks. It just dries down way too fast on the brush - could be great for long private appointments or application on yourself/a client you work with daily, when you can really take your time and work in small strokes. But for quick on-set work or bridal parties where you may not have worked with the person’s features before, it’s a no for me. Oh, the whole pot dried out pretty fast too, so i have to replace it anyway.

Bleeds so badly
This product goes on well, but bleeds SO BADLY it’s impossible to use. Within an hour I have black all over my eyelids from a simple cat eye look. Inexpensive drug store brands do a much better job. So disappointed!

Everytime I have some product on my liner brush I'd close it so doesn't dry so fast but didn't help.

This is by far the most difficult liner to work with. There is no time to blend or fix mistakes due to the way it dries down. I’ve used Bobbi Brown’s black ink gel liner for over 15 years and never had issues with clean up. I used a makeup wipe to sharpen my wing using the makeup forever gel liner, and it spread black everywhere around my freshly matte eye look. This is going back and I’ll continue to stick to Bobbi Brown.

Suggested Usage: -For eyeliner: For a sharp wing or line, use an angled brush to apply a small amount of product and glide from the outer corner inwards. -For a smoky eye: Create a line directly along the lash line. Working quickly, use a rounded brush to blend and diffuse the line upwards and outwards on the lid. -For Eyeshadow: Use a flat brush or your finger to apply the cream to the entire lid in a patting motion. -Note: All shades are not lip safe.
