[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! What a crisp, cool and very structured cotton linen dress! Via Influenster for review, I received this lovely dress to sample. Tommy Hilfiger is that quintessential American vibe and this dress certainly fits the bill. Its definitely a high quality gauge cotton but despite the weight and heft, it still manages to be flowy, effervescent and cool. The structure is what really surprised me. Dare I say its almost too structured in that the seaming and stitch work really do hold the architecture and shape of the dress without the need for any boning, heavy lining or bulk. The stitches panels are very deliberately placed and strong- in fact with this 100% cotton, there is no give at the banded waist. There is a loose belt tie but its totally optional- the banding really holds you in. The zipper is the only real gripe- it is SO fine and tight that even with help, it was hard to do up but with some effort, it makes its way. The glide could be better so be careful with zipping so you dont tear the fabric. Overall what a lovely and cool, flowy crisp white dress to wear to so many things!
