In the top notes, sparkling Italian bergamot floods aromatic lavender with its sunny brightness, while the golden citrus of lemon fruit and silk tree blossom conjure up visions of the Italian countryside. The heart of Dolce&Gabbana Velvet Amber Skin unfolds with a powdery veil of cool iris, settling atop a blend of soft leather, rose, and labdanum. This fascinating fragrance leaves a tail of amber, accompanied by vanilla, myrrh, and tolu balsam: a luscious blend of balsams which harmonizes sweetly with the last accord, honey.

About the Bottle: The iconic, weighty glass flacon of the Dolce&Gabbana Velvet Collection is topped with a yellow velvet-trimmed stopper with golden accents. Little but mighty scent.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. This Dolce& Gabbana velvet Amber skin parfum made in Italy is hands-down one of the most elegant fragrances I have tried in a while. I like to start off with one spray and work my way up. With just one spritz it activated notes of vanilla, a sweet musk, and amber. I would totally invest in getting a full bottle. The evolution was definitely long lasting.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I honestly was not a fan of the smell but if you like strong musky smell this one is for you! The smell is definitely unique and lost so much on my skin even after showering. The bottle is pretty and value is decent for a perfume.

Warm fragrance that lasts

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Love this cologne. Highly recommend. However, it’s definitely more of an evening fragrance for me, though I could see it working well in cooler weather during the day too. If you like warm, slightly sweet scents that feel refined, this one is worth trying.

Bergamot scent a little too overpowering

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This fragrance is perfect for date nights or an evening out. This is not something I would use daily. The bergamot scent is too overpowering in my opinion. It gives off a more elegant and sophisticated vibe. I feel this would be great for someone 50 and older to wear.

The Velvet Amber Skin Eau de Parfum smells warm with vanilla scents. One spray seemed to last a while without being too overpowering. The first time I used it I sprayed it 2-3 times and it was way too much. Unfortunately this was a sample sized product even though it was never mentioned so I’m extremely disappointed in that. It wasn’t my favorite scent I’ve ever used BUT it would have been a nice fall/winter scent for my collection. Overall I wouldn’t buy it but it was nice.

Long lasting scent!

I received the Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Amber Sun for my honest review. I do get a warm vanilla, amber, and spicy scent that is very nice. I got many compliments when wearing it, and it did last me throughout the day. A little does go a long way as the scent is pretty strong. The packaging was a sample sized bottle, which was very nice for me to carry in my purse.

A great musky date night scent

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This smells wonderful. A great date night scent. A little strong so be sure to only spray once. MAYBE twice packages was minimal. Nozzle works well. Be sure to read the how to use section. That was helpful :)

If you like a heavy musky scent- this is for you. It doesn’t smell bad, it is just not for me. It’s too cloying and way too musky for my liking

Sexy fragrance

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] So I think this scent is very luxurious, sexy and unique. Is a fragrance that lasts a long time on the skin, the top notes are lavender, citrus, bergamot and silk tree blossom, which is very unique. I think you can definitely use it for a night out, for a date, or also for work depending on your outfit. The packaging is beautiful and is a great value for your money. I give it 4 stars because is personally not my cup of tea, I enjoy more floral and sweet fragrances, but is good.

Dolce & Gabbana’s Velvet Amber Skin is a complex scent with a solid amber and myrrh base. It’s a lovely fragrance but not as versatile as their other scents. I think this is best for a special fall or winter night out.

Suggested Usage:
-Fragrance is intensified by the warmth of your own body. Apply in the creases of your knees and elbows for a longer-lasting, stronger scent.
-After applying, avoid rubbing or dabbing skin. This breaks down the fragrance, causing it to wear off more quickly.
-If you prefer placing fragrance on your wrists, be sure to reapply after frequent handwashing, as this tends to rinse off the scent.
-Replace fragrance after 12 months. Expired perfumes more than a year old lose the integrity of the original scent.

The difference lies in the volume of perfume oil. While EDT contains five to nine percent, EDP contains more, usually eight to 14 percent. EDPs, therefore, last longer and smell more intense.
