I really love this setting powder over my Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation. It provides a very natural finish, blurs pores and other skin imperfections well, and doesn’t settle into fine lines or exaggerate dry areas. I really like the finish when applying it with a powder puff. I have combination skin with a very oily T-zone, and I find it does a good job of controlling oil - it’s not perfect, but I think that’s the trade-off between a super-matte finish and a more natural finish that still controls oil relatively well, even after 8 hours of wear. I will say that I don’t love the packaging. I find it challenging to get enough product out through the sifter, especially as I get closer to the end of the container. I also find that some of the powder gets trapped around the upper inner rim of the container, directly beneath where the sifter meets the inner wall, making it difficult to access and use all of the product. I would love for HG to change the packaging. I have tried A LOT of setting powders, and this one is definitely my favourite. Despite the high price tag and my issues with the packaging, I continue to repurchase it.

I wanted to love this. I’m an oily girl, but putting this on seem like chalk. Did not make my makeup look better or blurring at all. And by the end of the day, I was still quite greasy. I returned this and I’m looking forward to purchasing the Charlotte Tilbury new powderbecause I have heard great reviews

The most natural looking powder I’ve tried. Wears well over the course of a day. No creasing or cakiness IF you don’t over-apply it- and I apply quite a bit because I use it to somewhat mattify my very shiny sunscreen.

Amazing , airbrush finish! Using this everywhere but under my eyes. I love how natural it looks and photographs insane! I have been sleeping on setting powder , and this one changed the game for me!

I've been repurchasing this setting powder for years. It gets the job done! However lately, I have been noticing that it is settling into my pores way more than it used to. The foundation that I use was recently reformulated, so that might be the case as to why. Overall a good and solid staple in my routine. I will likely be purchasing for years to come, unless something better catches my eye.

This is my THIRD repurchase! I love this powder and it really helps to set/make your makeup long lasting. I pair with the hourglass mineral primer, hourglass concealer, and hourglass tinted moisturizer. It’s perfect!! No complaints!

I love the look of this translucent powder and appreciate that it is talc-free.  however, it is very hard to dispense the powder, and unlike your average drugstore powder, you cannot remove the lid to make sure you are getting to use all of it. This is very frustrating, especially given the very high price point.

I purchased the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder after seeing consistently strong reviews and because I’ve always loved Hourglass products. I bought it as a set with the Veil Powder Brush, and the combination completely changed how I apply setting powder. The powder itself is incredibly fine‑milled and gives a beautiful airbrushed finish without looking overly matte or dry. It blurs and sets makeup while still keeping the skin looking dimensional and natural. My makeup genuinely lasts all day when I use this. The packaging feels luxurious, application is effortless, and performance is unmatched. I’ve tried many setting powders over the years, and none compare. I loved it so much I also bought the mini so I never have to go without it when traveling.

Seriously WOW! In love with this powder, my makeup has never looked better. I have dry under eyes and this is perfect.

Huda was caking esp under the eyes. I’m happier with this. It doesn’t cake. Silky fine formula. I’m over 40 with oily skin. Note this is more blurring than setting. Requires a spray to really lock it in.
