Feels like rubbing sand on your face 👎🏻

I really liked this sunscreen when I first bought it. I wanted a higher SPF mineral sunscreen that didn’t leave a white cast and this was recommended to me by a sales associate. It doesn’t feel heavy on your face and does provide some oil control which was nice. However, I just bought a second bottle and it feels like there is sand or something gritty in it. The first bottle did not have this abrasive feel to it and went on very smooth so not sure what has changed but it’s not very pleasant. I’d say skip on this one until they get rid of the grit.

Does not have oil control it's actually kind of dewy, and slightly stings when i put it on. I did not breakout though. A lot thicker than I expected.

I feel like the product left a bit of a cast so even though it says light medium tone, it’s more flattering on light skin. The other issue I had is that it’s gritty feeling when you apply it despite shaking it

Beautiful skin with benefit of sunscreen

I gave this to my mother-in-law to try, and she ended up using it all summer and referring it to a friend! It doesn't leave a milky cast like other sunscreens can, and leaves your skin with a beautiful radiant glow. Its like a "your skin but better" with sunscreen. Its a win-win

Dewy T-zone action

Love it BUT just know that it's not necessarily "oil control" (I literally don't know where they got that claim from, it's fabulous otherwise). I have oily skin and this applies as a bit tacky/sticky and doesn't exactly dry into a matte finish. On me, it's still quite shiny but I guess the kids these days might call it "dewy"? But yeah if you're into dewy T-zones with a healthy shine, this is your thing

A disappointment

This did not work for me. I was attracted to the oil-control aspect, but it left my skin feeling and looking and feeling sticky, and never fully dried. There was no coverage whatsoever. I knew it was just a skin tint, but it was more like no-tint.

Did not work for me 😕

The product feels a bit too dark and shiny for my liking. With my oily and very fair skin, even the light shade looks a little too dark and has a bit of an orange undertone. Plus, the shiny finish is quite strong. I really hope Ilia creates a clear, matte version someday. Until then, I think I'll hold off using it on my face.

good on its own

I received this product for an honest review. I think this sunscreen is great on its own, but it doesn't look good under makeup. I feel like it pills easily, and it looks kind of cakey. I only recommend this product for people that dont use concealer or foundation regularly.
