To start, I always have trouble getting my polish to stick. Usually within 1-3 days I consistently get chips no matter what prep method I use, polish I use, or top coat I use. But this base coat changed that. With one swipe + a quick dry polish and NO top coat my manicure lasted a full 6 days before chipping. Not to mention - I put it through the TEST. Between harsh chemicals on my hands, lots of activities, and the fact that I got in a serious car accident, my polish stuck on. Im amazed! If your looking for a good base coat, this is the one.

It's making my nails peel and split.
Since using this base coat, my nails are peeling away! I have had the same reaction to UPI base and polish, so I do not use that brand. Essie has been my sole nail care for several years. I loved, loved Essie Smooth-e base. Why has it been discontinued??? Can you advise regarding finding an Essie base formula that won't damage my nails?

Damaged Packaging and Used Items Received
I received the nail polishes with one carton box torn and the other one without any packaging at all. In addition to that, the nail polishes appear to have already been used. I am very disappointed with the service and the packaging quality.
