I really like this lip product. It’s buildable and almost creates a lip stain. It is neutral as far as smell and taste. It lasts me forever—the only reason I got rid of my previous product was because the top didn’t lock into place; the newer products do.

A matte lip plumper in disguise
Zero stars as a lip shine - the shine is gone in under 10 mins - but I didn’t buy it for shine. One star for color, because it unfortunately leaves very little color (pink beet is my-lips-but-awkward, and taupe is my-lips-0.2% darker). FIVE STARS as a gentle lip plumper for mature lips that hydrates while giving a matte finish. I have been wearing the blurred lip look since long before it was trendy and I’ve been horrified now in my late 40s to discover that the products nowadays ready made for the blurred look suddenly do not function on me at all. Leave my lips puckered - it’s awful. And I am such a lipstick person, but now even satin formulas look bad on me. A Sephora staffer guided me to this lip oil, which confused me because once you’re over about 40, shine makes your lips look older, not fuller. But he muttered something about the dry down, so I tried it. And it’s amazing. My fine lip lines are almost entirely gone for a full 24 hours when I use this, applying three times a day. It’s a shame it doesn’t leave a stronger stain, but I get the matte look I’ve been missing. When I add a pinkish brown lipliner AFTER 10 minutes of the oil and blur it inward, I get a lip color. The wait time is annoying but it’s so worth it to have my lips looking bouncy and chic again. It’s true what people have said about the applicator not being long enough to probably get all the product out of the tube, which is annoying. But this is also cheaper than some of the supposed lip plumpers that end up just burning your lips. Funny that this is not even advertised as a Plumper. And wild that is presented as some sort of shiny lip color when it absolutely is not. But I am so glad I found it.

I used Dior for the Lip oil but that one tends to be a bit too heavy sometimes. Sephora employee advised me this one and I love it. Tint stays all day, the consistency is thinner, so you reapply it often but it is okay for me. Also, it tastes good, has also good ingredients. Packaging is increadible, nothing leaks.

Yes, you need to reapply with lip gloss, that is honestly part of the fun, but this seems to fade more quickly than other lip oils and glosses, even when I'm not eating or drinking anything.
