I heard of the benefits of red light for hair growth, so I was very excited to try a product specifically for hair. Product was very easy to use with the chargeable battery and easy to wear hat. Consistent use was easy as each daily session did not take long, and I could wear doing other tasks. I wish I could say that the red light worked for me, but the only change I experienced was increased shedding. I usually just experience minor shedding when washing or brushing my hair, but after about 2 weeks of use my shedding significantly increased. Only change in my lifestyle and diet was the use of this hat. Photo was amount of hair lost when combing my hair after washing. This is how much I see daily even after lots of fall out while in shower. I am hoping the shedding leads to more hair growth, but so far I have not seen any yet. While I noticed no new growth, I do think my hair was growing faster as I just had to get my hair colored about a month ahead of my normal schedule.

I’ve been using the hat for the last month and I’m very happy with the product. Unlike some fads, there are peer reviewed studies showing red light helps with hair loss. I’ve noticed my hair started to thin, and I really wanted to try this type of treatment. The hat is very practical, you can wear it and forget about it while you are getting the red light exposure. It is comfortable too. I think I may be starting to see new hair growth, however, one month is not enough to see how much the treatment will help.

Easy to use
I'm always in the search of products that can help increase my hair density which has steadily been dropping now that I'm pre-menopausal. This hat from HigherDOSE features a bevy of red LED lights that are embedded a removable neoprene foam insert. One treatment session takes 10 minutes, and it is simple to turn on. The lights shut off automatically at the end of the time, and it will beep to alert you as well. It charges up in about 2 hours with a USB-C cable, and one charge lasts me for about 3 weeks with the hat being used once a day. The battery can be detached from the hat as well so it's nice that the LED components and the hat can be separated.
I didn't really feel anything when the lights were activated, and it was easy to wear the hat and unwind with a game for 10 minutes while it did its thing. I did notice that the neoprene in the hat, rather than the lights, made my head feel a bit sweaty, so it would be hard to wear this outdoors on a hot day. I feel like it did stimulate some hair growth, although it's not enough to be really noticeable in my part, but I have only been using this for a month, and it takes awhile for hair to grow.
The only thing that I did not like was that there is no low battery warning. There was a treatment session where I didn't remember hearing the unit beep at the end, yet the lights were off inside. I was able to start a new session where the lights would engage, but the same thing happened. At this price point, it seems like there should be some sort of battery indicator or perhaps an app that can communicate with the device. But overall, the hat is cute, the build is solid, and the results after one month are promising.

So convenient
This is definitely one of the most convenient and easy to integrate red light LED devices I’ve tried. You can wear it on for 10 minutes while doing something around the house or just sitting, it’s super convenient. It fits really well too.
I haven’t noticed a big difference in growth or density of hair yet but they do seem to be breaking less in a month of usage, so excited to keep seeing results with continued use.

Scalp and hair feel healthier

great for hair thinning
I've been using this hat for a few weeks. it's super simple to use. one charge lasts for a long time. the inner lights are also removable so theres a lot of versatility. the hat looks pretty good too. no pain or anything but I can feel the heat from the lights sometimes when using it. put it on and lasts for 10 minutes. since the light pads are removable you can use it for other treatment areas if you want to. I can see some new growth but will need to use it longer for better results.
