On the website it says this: What it is Our moisturizing lip balm nourishes and soothes dry lips. Smooth on this balm to hydrate lips from dryness in the winter and around the year. A Kiehls classic since the 1960s! It is no longer the Kiehls classic formula and it needs to be promoted as a different product! This is bait and switch! I started using Kiehls Lip Balm #1 in the early 1990s, and back then, it was truly an outstanding product. I always assumed the #1 meant it was the best, and, in my experience, it absolutely was. I spent a lot of time outdoors, especially on the golf course, and I needed a lip balm that provided serious, long lasting protection. Kiehls #1 did exactly that. It protected my lips, kept them moisturized, and was a product I could depend on. Unfortunately, after LOréal acquired Kiehls, the formula was changed, and in my opinion, the product was completely ruined. The current Lip Balm #1 is nothing like the product I used and loved for decades. It does not provide the protection or moisture it once did and actually leaves my lips feeling dry. What is especially frustrating is that customers who had relied on this product for years were not clearly told that the formula had been changed. This isnt simply a slightly different version, it feels like an entirely different product in the same packaging. Kiehls should either bring back the original formula or clearly distinguish the current product as a new formula. Calling it Lip Balm #1 while selling something that performs nothing like the original is extremely disappointing. After using it since the early 1990s, I never thought I would say this, but I can no longer recommend Kiehls Lip Balm #1.

This balm doesn't seem to hydrate my lips at all. I'm a huge fan of many Kiehls staples, but this one needs to be reformulated

Keeping this brand . And my sons loves it too especially the mint flavor. And I wanna try the the new Milk Bar lip balm.No regrets .

Excellent product; Ive used it for years!

Do not recommend. Makes lips dry. I used it mamy times but no improvement. Does not penetrate and stays oily on the lips.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lip balm softens my chapped lips amazingly. It goes on smoothly and so soothing. I keep this balm in my handbag as well as one tube in my car.

Unfortunately I repurchased this without realizing they reformulated to remove the lanolin and petroleum. The new formulation is awful. When I first started using it, I had to constantly reapply. After some uses, I realized it actually leaves my lips drier than before. Do not recommend at all. No clue why companies like Kiehls reformulates holy grail products like this.

I have reordered this product over and over again. I love the way it goes on, the finish it provides and how easy it is to carry with me.
