A no-go , save your money

I’m sorry I really wanted to love this but can’t. I literally like a dollar tree lip balm. Doesn’t hydrate well and doesn’t last that long. I use this as a topper now for when I do my lip liner and color so that it doesn’t go to waste but rip to the 20 something dollars I paid

Works well as lip protection

This was the only lip SPF product my local Sephora had in stock when I moved from NY to CO early this summer. I wasn’t feeling patient enough to order something else so I gave it a try. It’s a sticky, kind of weird smelling, even weirder tasting lip product that seems to do its job of preventing my lips from getting chapped and sunburned in this high altitude heat and sun.

Love this stuff!

With the exception of the issues with the tube's dispenser, I found the product exceptional. I received a sample, and I have been hooked since. What I really like about the balm is that it lasts for hours before having to reapply. It's "buildable," you can wear a light layer, or add a little extra depending on the level of glossiness you'd like. It makes lips look smooth and full. Because of its formula, it ultimately leaves lips soft once it's been removed. BTW, their Lip Mask is also wonderful- too bad its sold out. I just ordered a couple more, I'm not too bothered about potential packaging or dispensing issues.

Good Product; Terrible, Defective Dispenser

I was searching for a colored lip product with SPF protection for the summer, and a Sephora associate recommended this one. The lip gloss is nice - glides on and feels good on my lips - but the design of the lip balm tube is totally defective. Like many other reviewers commented, I could not get the product out of the tube after using it for a short while - and there was plenty of lip gloss left inside. The problem I discovered is that after some use, the inner part of the dispenser seems to stop up the opening. After squeezing the tube really hard, slowly, I found a piece of clear, soft, but firm, plastic sticking out of the tube somewhat. I pushed hard so it stuck out further, and I managed to cut it off with sharp nail scissors. Now the tube dispenses lip balm again. But that is totally not acceptable for a $16 product. I found a similar SPF protectant lip gloss by e.l.f. at Target for half that price, with no issues actually dispensing the product from the tube (it has a brush). Cay Skin, do better. Sephora, don't sell this until the brand fixes this issue!

Good product, but stops working.

Love this product! But for some reason it gets backed up and then the dispenser stops working. I had to pierce it with a knife just to get some out. This is the second tube I have tried that has done this.

The color does come out as labeled.

While I love the texture and the shine the actual color doesn’t come out the tube. It comes out clear. I may not purchase the color one again but definitely will purchase the clear. I have seen a lot of reviews about this product being defective. I hope they fix it.

Great Balm, Not the Best For Active Travel

I purchased this lip balm because I’m currently using a lip exfoliating serum at night and needed a lip tint with spf to protect my lips from the sun. With that said, I do genuinely like this lip balm, it does what it’s supposed to do and I like that it’s a thick consistency with a nice texture, without being too sticky. With that said, I’m taking two stars off because this lip balm (in my experience) does not travel well. I brought this lip balm with me on a trip to New York and while on the plane, I tried to use it and the balm immediately started overflowing due to the cabin pressure. Luckily I was able to keep calm and not make too much of a mess, however, none of the other lip products in my purse reacted that way and I ended up losing so much product. So just as a precaution to other people with this lip balm, do NOT use it on a plane or it WILL overflow and you WILL lose product. Learn from my mistake lol
