An exfoliant inside of a barrier repair cream.

The cream helped dull the redness in my skin and provided a thick finish of moisture but I realized that it was making my skin peel, I shed my entire tip of my nose and around my mouth while using this 😬. When I stopped using it I noticed the peeling also stopped ruling out my skincare products one by one I found this was the cause. I’ve now switched the Laneige (ignore my horrible attempt at spelling it) cica mask and my skin is healthier than ever. As you can see in the photo attached my skin was peeling in little chunks off my nose and dry on the sides.

A+ Barrier Repair

I waited a few months before writing this review to give an honest account of my experience. A Sephora employee suggested this product, but I was unsure at first since ceramide moisturizers often feel too heavy for my sensitive, reactive, and breakout-prone skin. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. I didn’t need an adjustment period, and it didn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts. It feels incredibly soothing when my skin barrier is irritated. Even though it’s a thicker moisturizer, it absorbs well when you use the right amount. I was concerned about the price since it’s more than I usually spend, but you only need a small amount about the size of a nickel for my face. This moisturizer has been great for calming irritation, especially when I use stronger skincare products. I apply it at night when my skin feels upset, and by morning, it looks and feels much better. My only complaint is that I wish it came with a small scoop. Overall, Innisfree did a great job making a ceramide moisturizer that feels nourishing without being too heavy.
