i bought the xl because i read the original was basically a sample size, but this one is still laughably small for the price. i've been using a cheap marker style freckle pen from amazon for about 5 years now so i wanted to upgrade since i do freckles every day of my life. i got very good at making them look natural with that pen, but close up you could still tell they were fake due to the marker-style ink. i don't love the applicator on this one. it's harder to add variations in the size of the freckles, but it will probably just take some getting used to since i've been using a marker for so many years. the color pulls a little reddish on me, but i do think they're prettier and appear more natural than the other one i've been using, even up close. you absolutely must blot them with your finger, but that goes for any ink freckle product i've used. the pigment will vary depending on how long you wait to blot after applying, and that's a good technique to use to make them more natural, along with changing the size of the freckles and layering them with different sizes and varying degrees of darkness. so what i mean basically is that i add a base layer of lighter freckles of different sizes, and then go back and overlay some darker ones in certain spots. the finger i used to blot is now stained unfortunately, but that's a good sign for longevity on the face.

Like the other reviews said, this product ends up looking like dirt and honestly comes off a little green on my skin tone. When you go to blend out the product to look like natural freckles it literally disappears. There are better freckle brands out there for half the price don’t bother :/

The freckle to end all freckles. It applies well, can easily be mottled to transfer patterns around the face, and is like a never ending well of ink to use for your frecks

I use this as a part of my EVERYDAY routine and gets so many compliments on it !!

So cute and natural. I blend it almost all the way out and it’s perfect, you can leave it for longer or not blend as much if you need it darker

I bought the one that looks like brown put when I tried it out it was orange do NOT get the brown one get the black it’s sooo much better and looks so good but u have to dip it in a lot but otherwise if u get the black one it’s pretty good

why is it orange??? who has orange freckles? it looks like dirt AND you have to dip into the product 20 million times just to do a singular cheek. also, it’s like 30 dollars!!

Absolute fave product, best freckle pen on the market, just make sure to tap it out quickly. Does best with very minimal makeup

Terrible, impossible to blend. It’s either dries out and it looks like dirt on your face or it doesn’t stay on your face
