Coola oil free moisturizer spf 30
at first I expected a normal sunscreen, but at day 2 of using it my skin started looking SO GOOD. Like brighter and smoother. Has a little cast but that's kinda the point with mineral sunscreens. Has a satin finish that I really enjoy. Love the pump bottle. I see people talking about a tacky feel, wich I get, but it's so little it doesn't even bother me. The tacky feeling goes away fast. Over all, highly recommend.

Immediate daily driver!
Immediate new daily driver for minerial face sunscreen! I had tried a coola mineral face product a few years back that didnt rub into my face super well. Took a year off and cycled through some Elta MD and la roche posay mineral options, and this worked just as well for me if not better. This rubs into my skin nicely and has provided thorough UV protection so far. I did not experience a white cast, though am fair skinned so take that with a grain of salt.

So Far, So Good!

Wear on non-makeup days
As a licensed cosmetologist and a person who loves the sun, but is aware of the damages to sun, I take my sun protection very seriously and have tried many products. This Coola Clear Skin Oil-Free Moisturizer is a zinc oxide-based physical sunscreen. I noticed that one pump was enough for my full face. I liked the way it felt on my clean skin. It felt very hydrated and plumped. The initial tint was white and I massaged it in to try and make the white hue go away, but it didn't completely dissipate. When applying makeup over the sunscreen, however, the product felt like it got thick and almost crumbly. I was not a fan of using it with makeup. This would be a product I would use on non-makeup days, but I would probably add some bronzing drops to negate the white cast. Product was received as part of an educational promotion

Not a good one
Having combo skin that leans oily, I love lightweight moisturizers for my daily routine. I also am not a huge fan of wearing SPF and tend to be pretty picky about those products specifically. This one seemed really promising and the blue light protection is something I never thought about for my skin but very much needed as I'm on a computer all day. Unfortunately, this product fell short for me in many ways. It really sits ON the skin and you can feel that a lot. It's almost grainy and just kind of heavy feeling; not what I expected at all. The consistency was also very inconsistent. Some pumps being more liquid and others being thicker. My main issue with this was the pilling. It happened no matter what products I used in tandem with this one. Just an overall no for me.

Pills Quickly + White cast
I didn't have much luck getting this moisturizer to not pill immediately on my oily skin. I tried using the moisturizer alone or with different serums underneath (including the coola "refreshing water plumping serum") but still got lots of small pills all over.Additionally, the moisturizer leaves a bit of a white cast on my tan skin. I have to really rub it in to blend it with my skin tone, which does not help with the pilling issue.As for the pros, it has a nice, faint scent and it doesn't irritate my skin. I do like the idea of having an SPF moisturizer to go with the SPF serum, but I think it needs an oily skin variant.These drawbacks would put me off from purchasing it again. I've had much better luck with other Coola products, this one is unfortunately just not a winner in my books.

Coola Clear Skin Oil-Free Moisturizer
Really loving this moisturizer from Coola. I'm a little on the drier side right now because of the the weather. But I can definitely tell already I will be reaching for this alot this summer. I have been a licensed esthetician for over 15 years. I have been exposed to so many different sunscreens. This was by far one of the best. It is so lightweight doesn't feel tacky or sticky. Almost a primer like finish. And doesn't have that sunscreen smell at all. To top it off unlike other sunscreens it has real skin care benefits as well. The Blue Screen technology is perfect if your stuck behind a computer all day and then like to go for a walk on your lunch break. You'll have piece of mind that your skin is being protected from both.
