Not as good as the loose powder version

I really wanted to love this since I love the loose powder version sooooooo much. But unfortunately, it wasn’t for me. Although the formula is very fine like the loose powder, it’s a lot more drying, which just doesn’t work for my 50 year ols skin. It would probably work for people who don’t have a lot of wrinkles but I do and it accentuates them a lot. I do however, love the loose powder version and highly recommend it. For now, I’ll have to just keep using my bare minerals pressed setting powder compact. It does leave a slight light cast, which is why I was looking for something else but I do think it’s not quite as drying as this compact. Also, this compact doesn’t come with the same puffy applicator as the loose powder. Instead, it comes with a thin dense sponge. I really like the other one better.

Matte finish

I love me a good matte powder. I make sure I carry this in my purse for a quick touch up. I love how lightweight it is. It does not leave a white or powdery finish. My face does not feel dry or caked on. It’s perfect for my combination skin. Definitely a reliable product.

Great but poor design of the compact.

Very nice external packaging. The powder absorbs the grease on my face and keeps it matte throughout the day. I gave it 4 stars because of the pathetic sponge it comes with as well as how hard it is to open the compartment to get the sponge. Theres no button like other compacts. For luxury Mae up, a nicer applicator would’ve been nice.

The packaging - to die for. The product is good and works well without being heavy. It does have a faint smell, but I like it. The puff leaves much to be desired. YSL could do better there. But I like it. I’ll probably try something else next time, but I would recommend this

Not flattering for mature skin

Maybe it’s me but this powder looks terrible - it’s drying and makes me look old and tired!
